Cam: Watching Has Given Me Greater Appreciation Of How We’re Playing

Cam Curry made his return to the first team last weekend to help Hull win 33-10 at Sheffield Tigers. The forward’s return is a timely boost for the league leaders as they prepare for the second half of the season. Curry knows that the team he is returning to, now has a target on their back as team look to topple them. Spending the last two months on sidelines, has given Curry time to appreciate just how well the team and playing and he is determined to keep the team in pole position.

“It’s an awesome feeling being back on the pitch after my eight week hiatus,” Curry said.
“My knee is back to full strength having worked hard in the gym so I’m feeling fit and ready to tackle the business end of the season.
“Despite the obvious frustrations of being sidelined, it’s given me an opportunity to step back and appreciate just how far our team has come and has filled me with pride.
“We’re playing with an energy an maturity I’ve never know in my six years with the club.
“The pressure is off and the team, coaches, sponsors and supporters are all riding the wave of consecutive wins at the top of National 2 North.
“All of a sudden, we’re the team to beat and that just motivates the lads further.
“We’re all mates on and off the pitch which is special and while winning does becomes a habit we all hold each other accountable and will continue to do so to drive performances and results for the rest of the season.”
