When you’re top of the table, it’s a sign that everything is going according to plan. And with it, the mood around the club with coaches, players and supporters is high. Full-back Reece Dean admits the players confidence is sky high not just when they turn up to play every Saturday, but for training every Tuesday and Thursday night. Dean, one of Hull’s try scorers in their 33-10 win at Sheffield Tigers on Saturday that opened up a five-point lead at the top of National 2 North, put their form down to the trust each player has in those around them.
“I think we are playing as well as we are due to the team morale been so high,” Dean said.
“Winning helps, but all the lads are really close.
“We are all willing to work for each other and willing to have each other’s back.
“At the moment, we have a lot of momentum.
“Every Tuesday and Thursday we are buzzing to go.
“Then, come a weekend, everyone has trust in each man beside them.
“We are flying at the moment and long may it continue.”
