Keane Naylor believes Hull can win Saturday’s derby if they can stick to the processes that have helped them climb to third in the National 2 North table. Hull beat Fylde 22-14 at Chants Ave last weekend to make it 11 wins from 13 this campaign so far. Naylor, one of several former Ionians players now playing for Hull, is looking forward to the first derby since December 2014.
“Yes massively looking forward to this weekend,” Naylor said.
“It is a game that has been talked about since the start of the season.
“The key to winning this weekend is sticking to our processes and what we have been doing well so far this season.
“The forwards being dominant and getting us on the front foot, and for us backs to finish any opportunities.
“A win this weekend would be a great finish going into Christmas.
“Putting aside the history of the derby, what it means to us as players, it is a another game in the season that we will settle for nothing less than a win.”
