Beech A Doubt For Bournville Test

Hull welcome Midlands side Bournville to Chanterlands Avenue on Saturday where the home side will be hoping to continue their good form fresh from their excellent away win at Sedgley Park last week.

Bournville cannot be taken lightly as their roller coaster season has seen them suffer heavy defeats at the hands of Fylde and most recently Stourbridge, but losing by a couple of points to Rotherham and Hull Ionians suggests that they will offer a significant challenge if they are able to repeat that form.

Hull may be without Charlie Beech at prop and Tom O’Donnell this weekend as they both appeared to be injured at Sedgley Park which may mean coach Gary Pearce will have to make some changes to the starting line up.

The home side have had a very good series of results and confidence will be in a good place. The lineout looked very solid against Sedgley Park a week ago and if Hull can maintain their excellent scrummaging form, they should be able to secure a supply of good quality first phase ball.

Tries are being scored from all areas of the pitch and with Simon Humberstone adding a drop goal last week to the scoring potential, Hull should have a little too much for the visitors.

But any side that gets to within two points of Rotherham must be capable of causing some problems so Hull will need to be resolute to ensure they come away with the points again.
