Hull travel to Manchester to take on Sedgley Park this weekend in a top of the table clash between two sides who have similar playing records including – losing by the odd point away to new league leaders Stourbridge.
Sedgley Park also drew 22-22 with Rotherham whereas Hull were shaded by a very late score in their fixture against the same side. The results sequence of both teams suggests they will be evenly matched and a close game is the likely result.
However, Hull comprehensively outplayed Wharfedale last Saturday playing some of their best rugby of the season. Hull’s pack has been playing well all season and the backs have looked very solid with whole side defending very well.
But the tries scored last week were a sign of a side hitting really good form as they embark on a series of tough games in the run up to Christmas.
The victory against Wharfedale was a great reaction to the previous game’s result and Hull will be feeling that they can get the points at Sedgley Park if they can maintain the excellent form they displayed last week.
