Hull RUFC co-captain Cam Curry believes Saturday’s 29-0 win over Sheffield Tigers gives them a solid foundation to build on as they prepare for the visit of Chester to Chants Ave this weekend. Curry was part of the pack that dominated their opponents last time out and wants to see another commanding display this weekend at home where they have conceded just one try in two matches.
“Saturday was a good win,” Curry said.
“Defensively, we dug deep and we were fantastic.
“To nil them and score five tries is a great achievement and gave us a bonus point.
“It gives us something to build on going into our next game.
“We have two home games on the bounce, so it’s a great platform to build on.
“Sheffield are always a strong side and we knew what they were going to be like.
“We dominated in the scrums and our lineouts were pretty solid as well.
“It was a forward dominated game and that gave a good platform for the backs to score tries from.
“This is our home ground and any one who comes here can expect a big performance from us with a big crowd.”
