Duell: Joining Hull will improve my game

Hull RUFC will look to put Saturday’s disappointment of having a hard-earned victory snatched away from them in the closing stages at Stourbridge.
New summer signing Duell Trueman was one of the players on duty at Stourbridge and he believes his side are more than capable of bouncing back this weekend against Sheffield Tigers at Chants Ave. Truman has settled in well and believes his switch from fellow National Two North rivals Ionians will make him a better player.

“Making the move from Ionians to Hull RUFC has been made easy by the players and coaching staff,” Trueman said.
“What’s really impressed me so far is the winning mentality and the eagerness to improve on what is already a competitive team.
“I feel this is the right environment for me to improve my game.
“I’m excited to see what this squad can achieve and I think it starts by taking each game at a time.
“The next game against Sheffield Tigers will be a tough one as it’s a Yorkshire derby which always lives up to expectation.
“I think the key to breaking the Tigers down is to play our game and control territory as I feel we can be guilty of trying to overplay.
“I know the boys will be ready and prepared to put in a shift.”
