Chants Ave is open for business!
Remember the good old days when we used to meet at Chants Ave on a Saturday afternoon and watch a bit of rugby. Well, those days are back as we reopen our doors this Saturday for the first since since COVID-19 made its unwelcome appearance.
Our doors will open at 12:30 with our newly formed 2nd team taking on BP Chemicals (kick-off is at 2pm). While the game is being played, Latu and a few of his Tongan friends, have kindly offered to prepare a Hangi. What’s a Hangi? It’s where you dig an underground BBQ pit, lit a fire and cook the food. We have a 110kg pig and a 40kg lamb and for those who like fish, there will be a selection of catches cooked as well.
But the most important thing is this – THE BAR WILL BE OPEN! We will be operating a table service inside and outside so please adhere to the Covid guidelines.
We have missed seeing you ALL, so please, if you can make it, please pop down. It will be great to see you. Even if you have never been to the club, especially if you haven’t been to the club before!
We have a lot of catching up to do, so see you at 12:30 on Saturday.
