Fixtures for 2021/22 season released

Finally, at long last, the fixtures for the 2021/22 season have been released.

For all rugby union fans in east Yorkshire, there are two fixtures that stand out this season. And that’s the derbies between Hull RUFC and Ionians.

Because of Covid, we were denied the chance to welcome Ionians to Chants Ave and to make our return to Brantingham Park, but all being well, our rivalry will be resumed in the coming months.

The first derby of the season is scheduled to take place on December 18, the final fixture of 2021 at Brantingham Park before Ionians make the short trip into Hull for the reverse fixture on April 23 in the penultimate round of fixtures.

Hull begin their league programme with three home games in their first four matches with Luctonians the first to travel to Chants Ave on September 4. A trip to Stourbridge on September 11, is followed by successive home games against Sheffield Tigers and Chester.

On the flip side, two of Hull RUFC’s last three fixtures are on the road to Fylde and Luctonians in the final game of the season.
