Ali Thompson is the latest player to share his favourite moment of the season. Here it is:
“My favourite part of the season was our second away game of the season against Stourbridge.
“Not a single person outside the boys and coaches would’ve given us a chance on that day.
“Stourbridge are a renowned top of the table team with some great players.
“They were bigger than us and we were missing some key players.
“I think everyone on our team showed unbelievable heart, desire and grit to get the win that day in very hot conditions.
“Our fitness levels were immense (thanks to our conditioner Cal Donohoe).
“When that final whistle blew I distinctly remember a certain Mr Will Hall running at me and jumping on me!
“It was one of the best wins of the season.
“And for me as a new player to Hull RUFC, it made me realise how special these group of boys, coaches and indeed the club is!”
