Latu Makaafi believes Hull RUFC have done just about enough to secure their place in National Two North next season.
Saturday’s 20-14 win over relegation-threatened Otley moved Hull to sixth in the table with a total of 62 points from their 24 games.
It was Hull’s 12th win of the season and opened up a 17-point lead gap on Otley who occupy the final relegation spot.
Otley will have to win their remaining seven games and hope Hull lose the majority of their six remaining games for the Chants Ave side to be dragged into the drop zone.
Makaafi is taking nothing for granted and will be doing all he can to ensure Hull finish the season with as many wins as possible.

“We all feel very happy that we have broke the wall to secure our place for next year in this league,” Latu said.
“It was a good win on Saturday but we can always improve our performances.
“We should learn from our previous games but can now go into each game with a positive mind set and a big smile on our face.
“We may be sixth in the table, but we shouldn’t take this for granted in our next few games.
“We want to finish in the best position possible at the end of the season.

“For me as a player, for moving forward, I need to concentrate on my own game to benefit myself and the team.
“At the same time we just keep improving our team working, always there to jump in and support each other.

“For us as a team, we need to listen more to our coach, have faith and belief in what they ask us to do in the game. It will benefit us next season.”
