Hull are looking to reverse their 27-23 loss to Otley earlier this season when they take on the West Riding outfit this Saturday at Chants Ave.
In some respects Otley’s season is not that different to Hull’s but three defeats more than Hull sees them in relegation trouble 14 points behind Hull who sit seventh in the table.
Among other successes, Otley matched Hull’s excellent win away at Luctonians earlier in the campaign and gave a notable success against Loughborough University to their credit and they will provide a good test for Hull.
Hull have looked much more of a top half side in recent weeks having recovered their form after a couple of reverses just after Christmas.
They now have a full squad to choose from and with policy of rotating the squad, selection will take account of that to make changes to the starting line up and determining who will be the impact players coming of the bench.
Tom O’Donnell is fully fit and will feature in the back row and Hull will have all their front row forwards to choose from. Those players have had a big influence in recent victories and they will all be raring to go as Hull seek to win a game that could see them consolidate their league position.
Hull’s half backs have played a full part in keeping their side going forward and in windy and wet conditions their sound tactical kicking has kept the pressure on their opponents.
However, Otley have won four times on their travels this season and they are fighting for their league status so Hull need to bring their ‘A’ game if they are to take the points in what will be a hard fought game.
