We’re thinking how high we can finish, not about staying up – Ali

Ali Thompson admits he is looking up the table rather than down as Hull RUFC return to action this weekend with a home game against Otley.
Hull go into that game seventh in National Two North after they beat Sheffield Tigers 34-21 in their last league game at Chants Ave.
It was Hull’s ninth win in their last 12 matches to ease any relegation worries by moving 14 points clear of the bottom three.
Thompson isn’t taking anything for granted and he knows victory over Otley this Saturday will be a giant step towards securing their place in the division for next season.
“Naturally we’re really pleased to be sitting in the top half of the table with seven games to go,” Thompson said.
“I think if you’d have offered us that at the start of the season we’d have bitten your hand off.
“We’re taking each game as it comes rather then looking too far ahead.
“We have a big Yorkshire clash this weekend playing Otley at home.
“This is a must-win game for us and will only catapult us up the table even more if we can get a five-point win.
“The confidence is growing within the camp, and now it’s not a case of playing to stay up, it’s playing to see how high up the table we can finish.”
