Pearce wants to get to 60 points as soon as possible

Hull’s director of rugby Gary Pearce thinks that any side will need over 60 points before they feel safe from the threat of relegation in National 2 North.
Hull currently have 53 points from their 22 games and with eight games left to play, starting with a home games with Sheffield Tigers this weekend, there is a maximum of 40 points up for grabs.
It remains a highly competitive competition with nine sides looking to make sure they get to that amount of points.
This weekend Hull take on Sheffield Tigers who started the season well but have faltered of late and now sit one place behind Hull after some poor recent results.
Hull will know that this week’s opposition are only too well aware that they need to get back to winning games and they will be looking to get their season back on track as soon as possible.
Hull look as though they will have a full squad available and Tommy Lee should return in the centres as a starter or impact player from the bench. Hull have three good scrum halves and whilst Rob Watts started last week Harvey Harding is likely to start this week.
The pack should have all their front row players available and if they can maintain their form of recent weeks, they could help to lay a platform for the team to build up momentum and pressure to ensure Hull take the points on offer.
Nothing can be taken for granted in a league that produces upsets every week but if Hull can give the physical commitment and organisation they showed away at Luctonians last week, they have a good chance to chalk up another victory and take another step towards 60 points and safety.
