With just eight games left to play, Tom O’Donnell believes five more wins wilwill go a long way to ensure Hull RUFC stay in National Two North.
And the forward wants the first of those this weekend as Sheffield Tigers visit Chants Ave before the team enjoy a well earned break the following weekend.
Hull are ninth in the table with 53 points from their 22 games a total that sees them nine points clear of Otley who are 14th in the table.
O’Donnell is confident he and his team-mates can get the win against a Tigers team that beat them 12-9 earlier in the season to set them up nicely for the remainder of the season.
“There are only eight games left of the season and I would like to target at least five wins out of the eight.
“It won’t be easy but I think that would put us into a position in the table we could be more than proud of.

“We could do with getting another win under our belt this weekend so we can enjoy the hard-earned weekend off in preparation for a big home game against Otley the following week. The lads definitely need the break.
“We owe Sheffield tigers after they beat us in the “Tiger Dome” earlier in the season.
“Some of their players after the game were saying it was the toughest fixture they have played in a long time so it would be great to prove what we can do at home.
“The key to making it three wins from three this week is all about turning up with the right frame of mind.
“Being professional, concentrating on our individual jobs and trusting the man next to you to do his.
“It’s as simple as that and we are getting better at it.
“We have a really strong set piece and arguably the best defence in the league.
“If we capitalise on our strengths, we will come out on top.

“Luctonians were certainly no mugs, they gave us a great game and had us grafting until the last minute.
“It’s no secret that our discipline is still getting the better of us though.
“We conceded another yellow card at the weekend and lost count of how many penalties we gave away.
“If we could knock the penalty count on the head, we could create more opportunities and the game would flow more.”
