Pearce wants more of the same

Hull RUFC director of rugby Gary Pearce has asked his players for the same effort and performance they showed when going down 27-17 at Caldy last weekend.
It was a closer game than many thought the fixture would turn out to be for the league leaders, but the Chants Ave side gave a very good account of themselves.
Pearce wants the players to reproduce that level of performance at home to Loughborough Students tomorrow by dictating the game from the start.

“I was very pleased with the lads and their performance last weekend,” Pearce said.
“They got stuck in and it’s a case of same again against Loughborough Students.
“We need to be brighter when it comes to our discipline, but show the same enthusiasm, effort and physicality.
“We are at home and I want us to play in the right areas and create opportunities.
“We know Loughborough Students like to play so we need to have the edge up front and establish good field position.
“If they have to play, we need to make sure they do it from a long way out.”
