Beech believes Hull owe themselves a performance at Hinckley

Prop Charlie Beech believes Hull let their high standards drop during Saturday’s 25-18 defeat at home to Stourbridge despite a late rally.
Hull trailed 25-3 with time running out, but two late tries earned the Chants Ave side a losing bonus point.
The loss saw a five-game pre-Christmas winning run come to an end but Beech, who joined Hull from Doncaster, believes the way they finished the game against Stourbridge will serve them well when they travel to Hinckley on Saturday.
“It was back to reality with a bump last Saturday after a string of back-to-back wins before Christmas,” Beech said.
“We let ourselves down just after half-time and left ourselves too much work to do in the second half.
“Credit goes to Stourbridge who were a tough opposition.
“We finished the game really well and hopefully we can take that into the game against Hinckley this weekend.
“We owe them and ourselves a performance.”

Beech admits he feels at home at Hull after a career that includes spells at Northampton Saints, Wasps, Bath, Yorkshire Carnegie and Coventry.
“It’s been a strange few months stepping away from full-time rugby,” Beech said.
“But I couldn’t have found a better club to go to than Hull.
“I grew up playing club rugby and love the feeling of being part of a proper rugby family – and that is exactly what I have found here.
“The players, coaches, board and supporters; everyone at the club has made me and my family feel very welcome.
