Hull RUFC skipper Ali Heard has urged his team-mates to continue playing the way they have been in the last five games of 2019 when they start the new decade with a home game against Stourbridge.
The Chants Ave side are eighth in National 2 North after winning seven and drawing two of their 16 games played so far this season.
One of those seven wins came at Stourbridge early in the season when Heard and co won 19-14.
Heard knows their first opponents of 2020 will be keen to avenge that defeat and get their new year off to a winning start.
“Stourbridge will be a tough game for us, because we went away and won earlier in the season,” Heard said.
“They will be pushing to get the result they want this time around.
“But going on the last few weeks, our lads have really been performing against some top sides.
“So if we turn up on the day and play like we know we can, we can grab another win and keep pushing forward.”
