Curry wants to carry momentum to Christmas and beyond

Hull forward Cameron Curry wants the team to keep hold of the momentum their three successive wins have given them and build on it between now and their break for Christmas.
Curry and his team-mates came away from Preston Grasshoppers with a hard-fought but deserved 18-13 win to secure their fifth win of the season.
Hull welcome Wharfedale to Chants Ave on Saturday in what will be their final home game of the year and Curry wants to make it four straight wins.
“It certainly feels as though momentum is building after three wins in a row,” Curry said.
“It’s our aim to continue this vein of form in the run-up to Christmas.
“The results are a great testament to the physical and mental resilience of this squad to steady the ship after a recent string of losses.
“Beating top of the league Fylde was a real turning point and we have since shown we can adapt our game to beat teams at both ends of the league.
“The next two games are huge for us. We sit just one point above Wharfedale and we know they will bring a physical presence.
“We will prepare well. We have a number of key players returning from holiday and Dubai 7s so there will be strong competition for places.
“It’s Ladies Day also, so we’re expecting a big crowd full of festive cheer and support.
“Tynedale gave us a real earlier this season but we know we can score points and beat any team so mentally, this will give us a boost.
“Set pieces will be key against two very mobile packs so we will be looking to emulate recent line-out form with 100% success against Preston and consistent scrums.”
