Birch is back for Hull’s derby with Scunthorpe

Fresh from their way victory over table topping Fylde Hull take on bottom of the table Scunthorpe.
Hull’s captain Ali Heard has warned against any form of complacency as the visitors this week would like nothing better than to kick-start their season with a win in what is a derby game.
Scunthorpe have not won in their 11 games this season, but have scored several tries in some games so clearly have attacking potential.
Their defence has leaked a lot of points and it should be possible for Hull to target that area to try and get a full points return.
Mike Dias returns to the squad at prop and with Keane Naylor and Tomasi Tanumi unavailable, centre Steve Johnson and winger/fullback Lee Birch return to the back division whilst Harvey Harding resumes at scrum-half after a leg infection has cleared up.
His half-back partner Simon Humbersone returns to renew this effective partnership whilst selection of the back five in the pack will be left late as last week’s selections did so well.
Hull have the fire power to win comfortably, but any lack of precision will give the visitors the feeling of hope that must not be allowed to turn into what would be a platform for a surprise result.
