Ali Heard has urged his team-mates to build on last weekend’s brilliant 22-20 win at Fylde and make it an enjoyable Christmas for everybody.
Hull climbed to 13th in National Two North after beating the then league leaders on their home ground having trailed 20-12 at half-time.
Heard now wants to see the team back up last week’s win against Scunthorpe at Chants Ave on Saturday.
“I’m immensely proud of the boys and their effort at the weekend,” Heard said.
“The boys really dug deep for that win and it goes to show that on our day we can beat anyone. We just need to keep that belief!
“The biggest challenge is to back up last week’s win and keep moving forward.
“It’s very easy to switch off after a win like that and get turned over in the next game, so the biggest thing against Scunthorpe is just stay switched on and trusting the process and the sticking to the way we want to play.
“Overall, I’m very happy with last week’s result but it means nothing unless we stay on track these next couple of weeks going into Christmas!”
