Tom O’Donnell believes a win against Luctonians can get Hull RUFC’s season back on track this weekend.
Hull have been on the wrong end of the last four scorelines following their promotion to National Two North including Saturday’s 22-17 loss at Loughborough Students.
O’Donnell feels a home win against a side that faces a long trip to east Yorkshire could be the perfect fixture to get back to winning ways.

“Luctonians have a four-hour long journey over on the Saturday morning and won’t want to be doing that long journey home with a loss.
“But from experience playing against Luctonians, I know their key focus will be to win all their home games and to get as much as they can away from home.

“We have learned by now that any team in this league has the ability to win and we need to show Luctonians the respect they deserve.
“I think with us coming up from national 3 last year we are confident in our ability to perform in this league.
“But in my opinion, we have been a little too over confident and complacent and it showed in our loss to Hinckley at home.
“A 5-point win on Saturday would see us shoot straight back up to mid table and we can use that as a platform to work from as we go into Christmas.
“We need that one win to break the losing pattern and to release a bit of the pressure. “The key is not to panic, stick to our game plan, stay disciplined and the wins will come. “It is a long season and things are starting to come together.”
