Hull take on Midlands side Hinckley on Saturday at Chanterlands Avenue as Hull look to maintain their unbeaten status and record a second home win.
A leg injury to prop Ben Bootham sees him sidelined and Hull will start with Mike Jobling, Ali Thompson and Mike Dias as their front row.
Harvey Harding has recovered from the knock he took on Saturday and will start at scrum-half so Hull, with the exception of Bootham, will have the same side that started the game at Stourbridge.
Hinckley have won one and lost two of their opening fixtures but that is no reason to take them lightly as no game in this league will be easy.
Hull will take heart from a stirring performance last week and will look to maintain the defensive aggression that stood them in such good stead when Stourbridge mounted a wave of attacks in the second half .
Every player contributed much to the team success including all the substitutes. Tomasi Tanumi showed his versatility as he came on to fill in at scrum-half after Harding’s injury whilst all the forward subs, Sanders, Bell, Dias and Osbourne fitted seamlessly into the team pattern.
Hinckley have more experience in this league than Hull, but they will be looking to find some form as they found Loughborough too hot to handle a fortnight ago and whilst they out scrummaged the students, they found their pace in the loose was too much for them and a loss to table topping Caldy is no real guide or comfort to Hull.
Hinckley had a good win against Luctonians in what must be regarded as something of a ‘derby’ match and that will have given them some confidence.
However Hull have made a very encouraging start and they have taken the step up to this higher league in their stride and will be looking to impress their game on this week’s opponents to keep themselves at the top end of the table.
