Norman Angell tells us what we can look forward to this season

This season the club will be making a welcome return to National League Division Two North from which we were relegated at the end of the 2014-2015 season.
This means we will be once again playing in the fourth tier of English rugby union. This division consists of 16 sides which means we will play 30 league matches, four more than last season.
Of the 16 clubs in the division there are only four sides we have not met in league rugby. These clubs are Hinkley, Tynedale, Wharfedale and Scunthorpe.
We have previously met both Tynedale and Wharfedale in either national or county cup games and have also played several pre-season friendlies against our Lincolnshire neighbours Scunthorpe.
All of the remaining 12 clubs we have met before either in National Two North or in the Northern Premier Division. Further details of these clubs are on the fixture list are on this website.
During the course of the season I will be providing on this website a further series of my ‘What we know about’ articles on all the clubs we play, in the week before we play them, so that supporters will be able to appreciate the quality of the opposition in the coming season and also a little about our previous history against them.
Meanwhile, the club AGM was held on Thursday night and the following officers were elected.
President – Jeremy Saunt
Chairman – David Piercy
Treasurer – Jason Williams
Secretary – Andy Payne
Chairman of Rugby – Chris Murphy
Chairman of Finance – John Beal.
The coaching and fitness side of things remain in the very capable hands of Gary Pearce as director of rugby, Martin Webdale as head coach, and fitness coach Callum Donohue.
