Welcome to the Ferens Ground for today’s fixture against our visitors from the West Riding, Ilkley RFC.
Founded in 1899 Ilkley gained promotion to the Northern Premier League for the start of the 2015-16 season and have acquitted themselves very well to the higher level and are now in their fourth season in the division. In our seven games against them during this period Hull have won four games and Ilkley have won two with one game drawn. We like to think that our two clubs have built up a very friendly relationship together and it is always a pleasure to meet up with them, both on and off the field.
So far this season Ilkley have won 10 and lost 10 of the league matches and are in eighth place in the league table. In the corresponding game at Stacks Field on November 3rd we won a very hard-earned victory by 23-8. On the last league week-end two weeks ago the Dalesmen entertained fifth-place Wirral and were very unlucky not to have taken the points, losing by 16-15. Read more on the League Round-up page.
