Can the league leaders stay ahead of the chasing pack?

Hull travel to the picturesque town of Ilkley this weekend to take on a side with a very mixed record this season. A heavy loss to Alnwick at home contrasts with a very good away win at Wirral the flowing week.
Ilkley have won half their eight games so far this season and Hull will be mindful of previous seasons when Ilkley have turned on the style against Hull and won against the odds.
Hull welcome back hooker Tom Rice and winger Stephen Hihetah to the squad giving the selectors a difficult task of picking the most effective combination.
Rupert Kay who was rested last week may well start in the back row this week as Hull look to win once more.
Hull’s pack have given some strong performances this season and if they can maintain their edge in the scrum and take their share of lineout ball not many would bet against them emerging victorious and continuing as league leaders .
