Gary wants to see away displays at Chants Ave

Gary Pearce wants a repeat performance of last week’s win at Blaydon when Wilmslow come to town on Saturday. 

Pearce knows if his players perform the same way, they will claim their third win of the season.

But Pearce has urged his players to play the way do away from home as he feels the home fans are missing out on seeing the team playing at their best.

“The team plays better away from home for some reason,” Pearce said.

“Maybe they try too hard to impress friends, family and supporters when they play at home.

“But away from home, like last week at Blaydon, they never fail to perform.

“Our best performances last season came away from home and hopefully we can reproduce those performances at home.

“Last week at Blaydon was a very good win as we played really well.

“We showed a good attitude and created a lot of chances.

“Blaydon have their sights set on promotion and they started the season with a couple of statement wins.

“But for us, it was a very good away win.”
