Richard Gore previews Rossendale v Hull

Hull open their National League 3 campaign against the side who denied them a play-off place two years ago.
Hull have had a difficult pre-season as injuries have hit them in the half-backs, and wings with five of last year’s squad out for a month or more.
Gary Pearce is pleased that recruits which include Ben Winterburn at centre/wing and Simon Humbleton at off-half will mean that Hull will be competitive in the backs.
In the forwards Tom O’Donnell comes into contention in the back-row having played in Division One last year which will strengthen a pack which gave a good account of itself last year.
Tanumi Tomasi comes in at scrum half and has started in every back position for Hull emphasising his all round ability.
Hull will be wary of awkward opponents but if they can establish a good playing pattern they have enough ability to come away with a win.
There is no room for complacency as promotion candidates need every win they can record to stay with the leading sides.
