Rice is ready for Rossendale

It’s been four months since Tom Rice and Joe Stafford lifted the Yorkshire Cup after beating Doncaster Phoenix in York.
On Saturday, the pair will hope it’s the North Premier league title they are lifting to mark a return to fourth tier of English rugby union.
A trip to Rossendale awaits Hull in their season opener and Rice is glad to put the pre-season behind them after wrapping up a 36-0 win at Scunthorpe on Friday night.
“Pre-season was long and tough as always,” Rice said.
“But the lads have dug deep and got through it.
“The games have been challenging in their own individual way.
“The new lads have settled in nicely and have all contributed to moving us forward this season.”
