Zak stars for county, called up for country

What a week it has been for Zak Poole.
After a gruelling season for Hull RUFC, the forward had his season extended by being selected for Yorkshire’s Under-20s.
After impressing for his County, he’s now been selected to represent his country.
It’s from here Zak takes up the rest of the story.
“Being selected and made captain of Yorkshire was the start of what is the best week in my life so far,” Poole said.
“The Yorkshire county games leading to Twickenham, the lads were brilliant and I gave it my all which showed in our convincing wins.
“And then to run out as captain at Twickenham, what an honour that was.
“Cornwall gave us a good game, but the quality of rugby by the Yorkshire lads was amazing.
“Lifting the cup was totally unreal and as I come from a Yorkshire family a very proud day for us all!
“Friday morning and the next stage of the week started, when I was invited to the England Counties Under-20 trail weekend and games.
“As an England North player, at the end of the weekend North v London and South East, and after a hard game, we won 22-21.
“Then the waiting started, a very long hour waiting for selection but it was worth every minute and I will fly to Georgia as part of the England Counties U20 squad.
“All in all, its been quite a week and one I’ll remember for a lifetime!
“On to the next chapter let’s hope We come home winners.”
