Richard Gore’s match preview

Hull will be looking to secure their place in the playoffs for National 2 North by winning this game on Saturday.
Hull need three points to be mathematically sure of appearing in that game.
Harrogate sit 13 points behind  Hull with a maximum 15 points to be had from their three remaining games.
Hull have been in excellent form in the run into the end of the season and last week’s substantial win at a tricky venue like Kendall has taken them to the verge of the playoffs.
Having beaten Kirby Lonsdale convincingly in the Dales recently, Hull will rightly be hoping to record a similar result on their own turf.
Front rowers Michael Dias, Mike Jobling, Ben Bootham and Tom Rice have all been to the fore in recent weeks as Hull’s scrummaging has played a significant role in moving the side into second place in this league.
With Hull’s backs scoring tries again and off-half Stephen Johnson kicking some excellent goals, Hull look a good bet to take the spoils this weekend.
However, it would be foolhardy to dismiss the only side to beat Preston this season but a good start by Hull and the maintenance of good discipline should enable them to secure the points they need to guarantee the much coveted second place in Northrrn Premier League.
