Zak Poole is determined not to let his high standards fall in the remaining games of the season.
Hull have three league fixtures to play to secure second spot and the only playoff place available in the division.
On top of that, they also have the Yorkshire Cup final to look forward to.
Poole knows with only four games to play, it’s important for every player to maintain the high standards set throughout the season.
“I think from now we are in the driving seat so second place is ours to lose,” Poole said.
“We set a goal for promotion and as it stands we are on target.
“I know I’m not going to let my standards slip for the team as we battle in the last few games and I can’t imagine any of the other lads slipping either.
“I think this weekend has proved our resilience, getting five points away from home on a Saturday and winning a semi final by 40 points on a Monday.
“If this doesn’t show our strength and seriousness for promotion I don’t know what will.
“Now on to Kendal quite a journey but as it away record proves I feel we’ll be going for another five points and cementing that second spot a little bit more firmly.”
