Durable Dias helps Hull move closer to success on two fronts

To play twice in three days is a massive ask for any player.
But for a prop to play 160 minutes in quick succession takes some doing.
Credit therefore goes to Mike Dias who got through a massive workload to help Hull beat Wirral 31-10 on Saturday and 41-0 at Driffield on East Monday.
The Wirral win consolidated second place in the table, while drubbing Driffield ensured they would feature in the Yorkshire Cup final.
Now recovered from his exertions, Dias is proud to have played his part in a monumental weekend for the club celebrating their 25th anniversary.
“Two games in three days, but most importantly another five points away from home and making the Yorkshire Cup final which I know was a firm goal of ours this season.
“Taking into account the weather over the weekend to only concede 10 points in two games and score over 70 is great credit to everyone who played.
“We showed our strength and depth in our squad this weekend but most impressively from everyone was the professional approach to get the ‘job’ done.
“There was a real buzz last weekend with it being the final month and the business end of the season as they say.
“The team are really focused on getting that second spot secured and now also lifting that Yorkshire Cup which would top the season off nicely.
“Overall a great weekend and from a personal point of view two full 80 minutes in three days is something I won’t look forward to too quickly.”
