Could points difference be a factor?

A look at the top of the Northern Premier Division shows just how close the battle for second spot is.
Preston can win the league if Harrogate slip up at home to lowly Pocklington.
Harrogate currently occupy the only play-off place available with 77 points from 21 games.
Snapping at their heels, waiting for any slip up are Lymm and Hull.
Third placed Lymm have played the same number of games as the leaders but are a single point behind Harrogate.
Hull find themselves fourth, level on points with Lymm but with a game in hand on both Lymm and Harrogate.
If it does come down to points difference, Lymm lead the way holding a slender seven point advantage over Hull while Harrogate are 160 points behind.
With three teams chasing one place, every point between now and the end of the season will be vital.
