There are times when a team’s character is tested throughout a season, sometimes
several times.
Saturday was one of those occasions for Hull RUFC who were pushed all the way by a Sandal side who led 17-5 at the interval at Chants Ave on Saturday.
Tomasi Tanumi knows every game from now until the end of the season as Hull push for promotion, will be just as tough starting with a trip to Lymm for a rearranged fixture.
“Saturday was a tough outing,” Tanumi said.
“But the boys pulled it back in the second half.
“That shows the character of the team.
“This Saturday is gonna be a different story all together.
“We simply can’t have a slow start in the game.
“That means this week’s preparations are majorly important.
“I thought the forwards got us out of jail against Sandal.
“As for this weekend’s game, we’re gonna need the full team effort.”
