Hull will be back in action after the disappointment of last week’s late postponement at Kirby Lonsdale due to a waterlogged pitch.
Their opponents this week come the short journey from Sandal near Wakefield and will offer Hull some stern resistance.
Sandal have recorded victories over Wirral and Ilkley in the past fortnight and as such seem to be a side that is improving as they look at the spectre of relegation.
They are fifth from bottom of the league and whilst Hull can point to a wide margin between the sides when Hull visited Sandal before Christmas, Sandal have welcomed back several players from injury and will be a much better side than the one rather easily overcome in the previous fixture between these two sides.
Hull will be hoping to have a full compliment but the persistent hamstring injury that has plagued top try scoring winger Stephen Hihetah will require a late fitness test to see if he is available.
Hull have worked very hard at their scrummage and lineout and if they are able to secure their fair share of first phase ball, they will test any side in this league.
That said, every side seems to be playing well at the moment as potential promotion or relegation concentrates minds both on and off the field.
Hull need to keep up the pressure on the sides above them in the league so they will be hoping for a good win and maximum bonus points. An achievable aim if each unit plays to its potential.
