Richard Gore’s match preview

Hull make the long journey to the edge of the Lake District on Saturday to take on newcomers to National League rugby Kirby Lonsdale.
Hull’s opponents are fourth from the foot of the league, but must be treated with as much respect as any team in this league.
They have suffered one heavy defeat all season against Billingham but their record against clear league leaders Preston, shoud have all alarm bells ringing.
Kirby lost by just one point at Preston before Christmas and they inflicted on Preston their only defeat so far this season just a couple of weeks ago.
Hull are hoping winger Stephen Hihetah and prop Dominic Hardman will have recovered from knocks taken last Saturday during the win at Billingham.
Gary Pearce will also be hoping full-back Lee Birch will also be available.
Hull showed the right level of defensive committment and attacking skill to overcome a livley Billingham side last week and will need a repeat of those attributes to overcome Kirby Lonsdale who are clearly capable of pushing any side .
Hull have some depth in their squad and they have enough talent to win this game but will need to maintain contration throughout to come away with the points.
