Hull restart their campaign sitting second in the league with all to play for over the coming weeks. First up are league leaders Preston.
Their record is impressive having won all their games but one, which they drew with Hull 10-10.
Hull overcame a couple of early season blips and have been impressive of late and a good run could see them challenge Preston for the one automatic promotion position.
Preston have been run very close by Ilkley, Kirby Lonsdale and Kendal and on that evidence they are not unbeatable.
However as Hull know to their cost Preston are a very resilient side and defend well.
Hull will be hoping that try scoring winger Stephen Hihetah has recovered from a leg injury sustained in the game against Pocklington.
The back division has gelled well and they have scored freely against most opposition but they will need to take any chances that come their way this week against the league leaders.
Hull’s pack are a never say die outfit and some of the unsung heroes will need to be on their game if they are to overcome the Lancashire side.
Tom Rice should be fit to lead the team into this key game and he will be looking to experienced players like number eight Joe Stafford and centre Ali Heard to help guide the side to a victory.
It is not by any means the end of the world if Hull do not win this week but if they can utilise all their skills to take the spoils they would put the cat well and truly amongst the pigeons in the promotion race.
