If last week’s game at Kirkby Lonsdale hadn’t been postponed because of a little bit of frost, Mike Jobling would be celebrating his century of appearances today against Pocklington.
Now, the hooker has to wait another year before he gets to join the ‘100 Club’.
Putting personal accomplishments to one side until 2018, Jobling hopes his side can put on a show for the viewers watching on Estuary TV.
“It will be a great occasion on Saturday as we start the second round of the season,” Jobling said.
“Pocklington will be in high spirits coming to us.
“But we have been hitting some form as of recent weeks.
“We really want to showcase what we can do and put on a performance for the fans that come down.
“Also I think you’ll see a few action shot tries from the backs with the cameras rolling.”
