As Hull prepare for their trip to Birkenhead on Saturday, Liam Regardsoe hopes his side can continue their winning run.
Hull kept the pressure on the leaders with their 31-25 win over Ilkley last time out.
Regardsoe was impressed with the intensity they showed in getting the win and believes the same mentality will be needed this weekend.
“It was close towards the end, but the boys stuck together,” Regardsoe said.
“We dug in and kept them out to come away with the win which was good.
“It was nice for the forwards to score a few tries because we’re used to setting things up for the backs.
“It was really enjoyable to keep things tight and we can take that into the next game.
“We’ll take the same intensity to Birkenhead in our next league game and hope to be more shored up in defence but we’ll work on that in training.”
