Hull take on Ilkley this Saturday as they seek to take advantage of back to back home games and keep up the pressure on the sides just above them in the league.
Hull looked a very good all round side last week as they eventhally overwhelmed Wirral with their forwards taking the game to tbeir opponents with sound defence and punishing driving in the loose.
The back row has seen Rupert Kay return to the side and with Poole and Fitts adding depth to the back row Hull have good forward cover and competition for the starting line up.
Hull’s pace and acurrate passing against Wirral saw another five tries scored last week and their confidence is growing.
Steve Hihetah scored five tries at Sandal a fortnight ago and his opposite number on the wing Mike Adlard scored four last week to emphasise Hull’s attacking potential.
However Ilkley have some good players and last year produced something of a shock when running out comfortable winners against Hull at their own ground.
Hull should have enough ability to record another victory but coach Gary Pearce will be hoping to achieve the third maximum points tally in a row to maitain or improve Hull’s league position.
