Tomorrow, we welcome our table topping friends from Lymm in Cheshire.
I have just returned from a 10-day holiday in Pescara on the east coast of Italy and during that time I missed two cracking games against Preston Grasshoppers a fortnight ago and Harrogate last week.
Luckily whilst sunning myself on the beach or sitting in the beach bar I was kept informed of progress of each of the games by text so thank you to my follow committee men for doing that.
And later reading the match reports on each game, I have to say our weekly match reporter, Richard Gore, does a wonderful job.
I think it’s fair to say that our opening games this season have been against three of the best teams in this division and what’s more is the fact we have not conceded a game.
We face a potentially difficult game against another good team on paper but judging by the performances to date by Hull we hopefully will secure another victory to keep our hopes of promotion this year alive.
Welcome to Chairman John, President David and guests from Lymm. It is good to see you again and I look forward to catching up with you.
The 100 Club is still up and running under the safe control of President Bruce Wilkie and if anybody want to join you can fill in a standing order form for a modest £4 a month.
Draws are made every quarter for a princely prize sum of £100 and my congratulations once again go to Richard Gore, the latest winner in the 100 club draw.
If you want to support your club for £1 per week and give yourself a change to win the £100 prize please see President Bruce Wilkie for the necessary forms. Remember, ‘you’ve got to be in it to win it’?
Finally welcome to our match sponsors, L A Hall Hull Ltd, esteemed roofing contractors in the city and thank you, once again, for your continued support of Hull RUFC.
I hope that Steve Copeman and his guests have a very enjoyable afternoon and will experience some top class rugby in the process.
Enjoy the game everybody.
