Hull take on Northern Premier League leaders Lymm at Chanterlands Avenue on Saturday in another battle of unbeaten teams.
Lymm have swept past all before them thus far with four wins from four – all with a bonus point.
Hull’s only blemish came when they drew 10-10 with Preston in their last home fixture.
However, a closer look at the schedule shows Hull’s start has been much tougher than that of their next opponents.
Hull have faced three sides in the top half of the table and are expected to be pushing for promotion come the end of the season.
Lymm’s first four opponents occupy places in the bottom half which has allowed them to lead the league in scoring and defending.
Lymm averages 36 points a game and just 10 points conceded. Hull are scoring an average of 24.5 points with just 11.5 conceded at the other end of the pitch.
This will be Lymm’s first real test and Hull should be battle hardened by the gruelling set of fixtures to start the campaign.
A home win will see Lymm dislodged at the top of the table. An away win will see the Cheshire side remain the team to beat.
Hull RUFC v Lymm RUFC, Chanterlands Avenue, Saturday – 2pm
