Paul Hamber admits dropping points in September was disappointing given the goals the players set themselves prior to the start of the season.
Nothing is won in the first month of the season, but title hopes can be built on a profitable September.
Two wins and a draw is a good start by Hull, but it could have been a 100 per cent record had it not been for Preston’s second half fight back that saw them rally from 10-0 down at the break to keep Hull scoreless and earn a share of the points at Chants Avenue.
Hamber knows the draw wasn’t ideal, but hopes his side can be bounce back at Harrogate.
“It’s disappointing dropping points in September as it’s such a big month from us,”
“But we need to regroup this weekend and most importantly perform in attack.
“We know our defence is our strength, but we also know within ourselves that our attack is better.
“I think it’s just taking ownership for our own personal errors.
“If we can put Harrogate to the sword this weekend it will prove to the other teams in this league that last weekend was a fluke.”
