We’ll take Preston positives into Harrogate game

Tomasi Tanumi admits Saturday’s 10-10 was a case of two points dropped rather than two points gained.
Leading 10-0 at the interval, Hull were unable to build on unconverted tries from Stephen Hihetah and Joe Stafford as Preston Grasshoppers rallied to take two points back home across the M62.
Tanumi said he and his team-mates won’t be dwelling on the negatives and focus on the things they did well.
“We have taken a lot of positives from that game,” Tanumi said.
“As we know what we could do better, the game was there for the taking.
“Our focus now is on Harrogate so another big week of training is called for.
“We know we need to concentrate on our work and be ready to rock again at Harrogate.
“I think the first half performance against Preston said a lot about us.
“We came out blazing and got early on the scoresheet.
“I felt we could’ve got more but the wet conditions was a factor in the key red zone.
“Going into that game we knew the task ahead.
“The boys had a good training week leading up to it and were ready for the game.”
