Birch believes Grasshoppers will be challengers

Lee Birch believes Preston Grasshoppers will pose one of the biggest threat this season in the Northern Premier Division.
If the first two weeks of the season are anything to go by, the full-back could be making a very good point.
After all, this time last year, they were playing in the league above.
Following their relegation, their number one aim this season is to make a swift return.
Birch knows his side will be in for a tough 80 minutes of rugby.
And if Hull are to inflict a first defeat of the season on Preston, then the fundamentals will need to be right.
“We need to protect the ball better than we did last weekend,” Birch said.
“If we can get the basics right we know we have the finishers on the outside to hurt any team.
“We need to concentrate on our phase play because we know we can tear teams apart.
“They are the favourites for the league based on the league they played in last season.
“They’ve recruited well and as it’s the next game, it’s always the biggest game.
“But we’ve recruited well and we’ve got off to the best possible start with two wins from two and 10 points from a possible 10.”
