Adlard returns to union with a bang

As debuts go, Mike Adlard couldn’t have wished for a better one.
A try with his first sight of the line early in the game gave him the confidence to go on and flourish in the 31-13 win over Rossendale.
It was the perfect introduction to rugby union after spending time in league with Hull FC.
A live wire throughout, Adlard is determined to back up last week’s performance at Pocklington and show union is where his heart is.
“I was looking forward to joining Hull as it’s been some time since I’ve played union,” Adlard said.
“I was excited to get back to playing it.
“Knowing the players in and around the club made my choice easy to come and play for them.
“I’m glad my debut last week went down with a win.
“It was a massive start to the season and the boys thoroughly deserved it after their tough pre-season.
“Hopefully I am selected for the Pocklington trip which will be another challenging match.
“If I am selected, I will look to play at my top performance and show what I can do in the early stages of the season.”
