There was pressure on Hull to start their season with a win against Rossendale.
With home advantage, the onus was on them to beat the side that did the double over them last season.
An added bonus was to put in a performance in front of some of the club’s main sponsors.
Solar 21, who’s logo can be seen on the back of the training shirts and playing shirts, were represented by Andrew Bradley, who was delighted to see Gary Oearce’s side pick up a five-point win.
“I’ve had an amazing day as always with my friends in Hull,” Bradley said.
“It’s was a pleasure to be here and it was an excellent game to watch.
“I’m still learning the players’ names but hopefully in years to come, I’ll know who everyone is.
“We’re here for the long stay and we have many projects lined up and we’ll be here for three to five years.
“The locals enjoyed getting their own back after suffering two defeats to them last season.
“After 25 years of Hull RUFC, we are absolutely delighted to be one of the sponsors for the Anniversary season.”
