Forward of the year Cam Curry admits he hasn’t been surprised by the progress made by the first team this season.
Having finished eighth last season, Hull improved to third and reached the semi-final of the Yorkshire Cup.
Curry more than played his part in the team’s development and is already thinking about doing better next season.
“It’s been a brilliant season for the club,” Curry said. w
“We’ve played some great rugby, had a lot of fun and I think we’ve all developed as a squad and individuals.
“We’re a young team and we run out onto the pitch as a group of mates who enjoy playing and winning together.
“So this season’s run of form comes as no surprise.
As a result there’s a good energy about the squad as we head into the break with a real buzz about next season and things to come.
“Our bodies are ready for a short rest before we get the pre-season programme underway but our minds are firmly focussed on building on this season’s success.”
