Hull ended their National Three North campaign with a comfortable 26-10 win against Kendal at Chanterlands Avenue.
Kendal took the lead with a drop goal 16 minutes into the game moments after they hit the post with a penalty.
The lead lasted five minutes as Joe Stafford, bandaged from an earlier head knock, strolled through to score. Tomasi Tanumi was on kicking duty and made it 7-3 with the conversion.
Ali Heard extended Hull’s lead after half an hour with a try in the left hand corner, converted by Tanumi.
Just before half-time, Tom Rice scored his fourth try in four games after the forwards proved too powerful for the Cumbrians. Tanumi’s third conversion gave Hull a 21-3 interval lead.
Eight minutes into the second half, Hull secured their bonus point when Stephen Hihetah touched down unopposed. Tanumi missed the conversion, but the points were all but secured.
In the final act of the game, Kendal scored a converted try to leave the final score 26-10 to the Chanterlands Avenue side who had already secured third spot and finished the season with 97 points.
